Female Residential Program

ZND Residential, Inc. provides a temporary sanctuary for abandoned, homeless, pregnant, and runaway female teens until a permanent, safe home is found for them. As with our other programs, we provide short-term supportive housing designed to meet the needs of children and non-minor dependents (NMD) and equip them with the skills and training they need to become healthy, independent, successful adults.

Evidence-Based Treatments, A Personal Approach

We offer various programs designed to end the suffering of our female program participants and provide them with the skills, care, and training they need to grow into healthy adults and mothers. Each of our programs for our female program participants includes the following:

  • Case Management
  • Life Skills Training
  • Psychological Assessments
  • Mental Health Services
  • Health Management
  • Education Assistance

Program participants can remain enrolled until our case managers locate a stable alternative living arrangement. 

We ensure that the appropriate services, supports, and interventions are provided for the children and nonminor dependents (NMD). We do not discriminate based on foster care status, physical characteristics, sexual orientation, gender expression, race, or ethnicity. 

Our highly individualized programs are designed to meet the immediate needs of each program participant and to equip them with the tools they need to grow into healthy, independent adults. During their time in our care, we provide each of our program participants with the following services:

Basic necessities including shelter, food, clothing, personal hygiene products, and medical and dental care. This is aligned with our mission of providing care and meeting the unique needs of each individual within our programs.

Education services through tutoring, assistance, and direct advocacy for educational supports and service through formal or informal accommodations. All educational supports and services provided are culturally relevant and trauma-informed to meet the unique needs of each program participant.

Mental health care, group counseling, individual counseling, and psychiatric care to understand and care for mental problems that might prevent participants from achieving success both during and after their stay at ZND.

Family therapy designed to teach constructive parenting techniques and to improve communication skills.

Age-appropriate life skills training and job skills training, including financial literacy, cooking, healthy communication skills, and college and career readiness.
The program is open to all participants regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, CPS status or juvenile justice system involvement.

Transitional Living Program

Every program participant completes a comprehensive diagnostic assessment at admission. The assessment gives our clinical team a clearer picture of each individual’s diagnoses, clinical needs, history, and background. We use these assessment results to match individuals with an evidence-based treatment plan and a specialized team of professionals.

MATERNITY PROGRAM

Our maternity program guides and supports pregnant and parenting teen mothers with the resources they need to grow into healthy, independent, and nurturing parents fully capable of supporting themselves and their families.

During their first month of care, participants sign up for childcare, education, immunizations, counseling, and other essential services, like food and clothing. Before their third month, participants are enrolled in school or are working, are up-to-date with doctor appointments, and are attending weekly counseling sessions. 

From the onset of their treatment plan, participants are connected with a case manager who works with them throughout the entire duration of the program and assists in developing behavioral and educational goals.

Domestic Minor Sex Trafficking

Within our facilities, survivors of domestic minor sex trafficking immediately enter into a safe environment, where they receive the necessary services and support they require to become physically, emotionally, and spiritually restored.

While at ZND Residential, Inc., sex trafficking survivors receive trauma-informed medical care, academic support, therapeutic treatment, and stabilization services for up to 90 days before moving to a long-term placement. With our staff’s support, each female is encouraged to set personal goals throughout her therapy and educational journey to start the process of growth and healing.

WELL BEING

We focus on improving each participants’ total health through spiritual exploration, physical fitness, and therapy.

NEW EXPERIENCES

We provide our participants with exciting new experiences through life skills classes, field trips, and mentorship opportunities.

SAFETY

We ensure complete safety for all program participants and continually ensure a supportive, secure environment throughout our facilities for all of our program participants.

All of our programs provide transformative care through therapeutic services, education, life skills, and personal and professional development. Our goal and focus for each participant is that they develop the courage and confidence they need to move forward and succeed in life.
