Job Summary – Full-Time (40+ Hours Per Week) & Part-Time

If selected for an unpaid internship, you must enroll in the internship course for your major to participate and only work the number of hours required by your course. To enroll, you must contact the appropriate faculty member in your academic department for approval prior to starting the internship. You can also contact Mary Willis, University Internship Coordinator, at mwillis@csufresno.edu or your college’s internship coordinator for more details about the steps required to obtain academic credit for internship experiences.
KNOWLEDGE TO BE GAINED THROUGH THIS INTERNSHIP:
The interns in this program will gain knowledge in the following area. The knowledge may include but is not limited to: Measurement, Assessment, Skill Acquisition, Behavior Reduction, Documentation and Reporting, Professional Conduct and Scope of Practice.
SKILLS TO BE DEVELOPED THROUGH THIS INTERNSHIP:
The skills may include but is not limited to: Preparing for data collection, Implement continuous measurement procedures (e.g., frequency, duration), Implement discontinuous measurement procedures (e.g., partial & whole interval, momentary time sampling), Identify the essential components of a written skill acquisition plan, Implement discrete-trial teaching procedures, Conduct preference assessments, Implement extinction procedures, Identify the essential components of a written behavior reduction plan, Comply with applicable legal, regulatory and workplace requirements for data collection, Respond appropriately to feedback and maintain or improve performance accordingly. storage and transportation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES *will/may include the following but is not limited to:
Consistently apply program policies through use of established behavior modification plan(s).
Participate in and facilitate in educational and problem-solving groups.
Employ crisis intervention techniques with program participants as needed.
Assist in development and implementation of program participants behavior plan(s).
Enter program participants daily information into database, staff communication log and individual participant files includi ng
progress toward goals; summary of daily interactions and behavior; groups, events, and contacts. QUALIFICATION* The qualification for the internship may include but is not limited to:
Students that are currently enrolled at Fresno State
Maintain a minimum 2.0 cumulative grade point average ACKNOWLEDGMENTS:
